Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information.

When you create an account we collect your email address and, optionally, a display name and avatar URL. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google in accordance with the permissions you grant.

Product data.

We store the watchlists you build, your notification preferences, and the messages you exchange with the in-app AI assistant so we can render your personal views and improve the Service.

Technical data.

Like most websites we receive standard log data (IP address, user agent, referring URL, timestamps) and use minimal cookies or local storage to keep you signed in and remember UI preferences such as theme.

What we do not collect.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, brokerage credentials, bank account information, or other financial-account data. IPO Radar does not execute trades or hold customer funds.

2. How we use information

• To create and authenticate your account and provide the Service.
• To render your watchlist, alerts, and AI assistant history.
• To send you transactional emails (sign-in confirmations, account changes, and, if you opt in, IPO alerts).
• To monitor security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To analyze aggregate usage so we can improve features and performance.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on the Service.

3. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted vendors to operate the Service. Each processes data only on our behalf and under contract:

• Hosting & database — managed Postgres and serverless infrastructure for storing account and product data.
• Authentication — email/password and Google OAuth sign-in.
• Market data — Finnhub, Financial Modeling Prep, and SEC EDGAR for IPO and filings data.
• AI models — large language model providers used to generate prospectus summaries and assistant responses. Prompts may include the IPO context you are viewing.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember settings such as your theme, and protect against CSRF. We do not use cookies for advertising. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time, but the Service may not work correctly if you do.

5. Data retention

We keep account and product data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your profile, watchlist, alert preferences, and assistant history within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Security

Data is stored in a managed Postgres database protected by row-level security so users can only read their own rows. We use HTTPS in transit, encrypt data at rest, and follow least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data we will notify you as required by law.

7. International transfers

The Service may store and process data in the United States and other countries where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such transfers.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you in-product or by email.
